LG Viewty or LG Ku990 Viewty on Vodafone UK

The latest addition to the mobile phones market from the far eastern manufacturer LG is the new LG Viewty on Vodafone, sometimes also known as the LG KU990 Viewty and on 3 Mobile network simply LG U990 viewty - all very confusing when all of the names refer to the same phone.
3 Mobile network have done this before with common models of mobile phones, the last was in fact an LG, the LG shine. The network renamed the model from the LG Shine KE970 which it is called on all other networks to the LG KU970 for their 3G network. This obviously does not help a potential customer when searching the internet for a specific handset.
In order to gain the best deal possible a consumer would have to search both model names before comparing prices, so with the new Viewty it is even harder as this model actually carries three names.
The LG Viewty is the successor to the Prada phone by LG. It adds a 5 megapixel camera, HSDPA and comes in a fetching black finish with black keys. It is thicker than the Prada phone and 25g heavier. The KU990 has a 3 inch touchscreen with an easy to use interface, simply touch the screen with your finger to select the option you want.

The new 5 megapixel camera has a xenon flash, auto focus and ISO sensitivity adjustment. It can record high quality video at 30 frames per second. There is also a secondary VGA video call camera. The KU990 has a built-in FM radio, an MP3 player and a video player. It has a web browser and a document viewer, supporting Word, Excel, Powerpoint and PDF files. However, with no WiFi and with it's advanced media features the KU990 is more an entertainment cameraphone than it is a business device.

So in conclusion the LG Viewty offers a video recording resolution to beat all current mobile phones, has the design and dimensions ideal for todays fashion conscious market and has touchscreen input with handwriting recognition for quick and easy usage. The LG Viewty is a phone that has set out it territory and is unlikely to be challenged in the foreseeable future.
